The role of a Production Lathe Operator at PT Astra Daido Steel Indonesia is critical to ensuring our tool steel products meet the rigorous specifications required by our global clientele. We are looking for a detail-oriented professional who can bridge the gap between technical drawings and physical components.
Core Job Descriptions and Responsibilities
As a member of our production unit, your daily operations will revolve around precision machining and equipment management. Your primary duties will include:
* Precision Machining: Executing lathe processes in strict accordance with assigned Work Orders (WO) and technical engineering drawings.
* Quality Assurance: Conducting thorough inspections of all finished lathe outputs to ensure they meet the company's high-quality standards and specific tolerances.
* Preventative Maintenance: Performing daily checks and routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety.
* Equipment Stewardship: Maintaining and organizing all tools and auxiliary processing equipment to prolong their lifespan and ensure workplace efficiency.
Professional Requirements and Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who possess a blend of technical expertise and a strong work ethic. To be considered for this position, you must meet the following criteria:
* Educational Background: Minimum of a High School diploma or Vocational School graduate (SMA/SMK).
* Professional Experience: At least 2 years of proven experience in operating both CNC and Manual lathe machines.
* Technical Proficiency:
* Familiarity with Fanuc and Mazak machine control systems.
* Experienced in working within a structured Job Order system.
* In-depth understanding of the use and application of various lathe inserts and tooling.
* Analytical Skills: The ability to accurately read and interpret complex technical drawings and blueprints.
* Precision Measurement: Competency in using various industrial measuring tools to ensure product accuracy.
* Advanced Skills (Preferred): Candidates with the ability to create cycle programs and utilize CAM software (Mastercam) will be given high priority.
* Personal Attributes: High work motivation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to maintain performance under high-pressure environments.
